What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file that a website asks your browser to keep, so that the site can recognise the same browser the next time a page is requested. Similar technologies do the same job by other means: storage areas inside the browser, invisible images that report a page view, or measurements of your browser's characteristics that distinguish it from others.
This page is published by Freedom line s.r.o., Budilova 161/15, Jižní Předměstí, 301 00 Plzeň 3, Czech Republic, company registration number 29160839, and applies to mildnature.online.
What we checked
Every technology of this kind that could appear on a site like this one, and what it actually does here.
- Cookies set by this site
- Not used. Mild Nature sets no cookies of its own, of any duration or purpose, including for sessions or preferences.
- Cookies set by others through this site
- Not used. No third party has any code on these pages, so nobody can set a cookie through them.
- localStorage
- Not used. Nothing is written to your browser's local storage, which is why a ticked checklist does not survive a page reload.
- sessionStorage
- Not used. Nothing is written for the duration of your visit either.
- IndexedDB
- Not used. The site creates no in-browser database.
- Tracking pixels
- Not used. There are no images, beacons or invisible elements loaded from another server for measurement.
- Browser fingerprinting
- Not used. We do not collect or combine browser characteristics to recognise a device.
- Web fonts and third-party scripts
- Not used. Pages are typeset in fonts already present on your device, and the only script is a short first-party file that operates the small-screen menu and the print button.
- Server access logs
- Used. Our hosting provider records each request to the site, as described in the next section. This is the only entry on this list that is in use.
What does happen
When your browser asks for a page, our hosting provider writes a line in an access log: the IP address, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and the user-agent string. Those logs are kept for 30 days and are used for security, abuse prevention and fault diagnosis. That is the entirety of what this site gives rise to, and it is described in full in the Privacy Policy.
The checklists do not remember your ticks
The boxes on the step pages and on the All checklists page are printed squares, not controls. Nothing records which ones you have marked, because doing so would require localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB or a cookie, and none of those is in use. Printing the page and using a pen is the intended method, and it is the only method that keeps a record.
After you follow an affiliate link
Some links on this site are paid affiliate links to Star Stable Online. When you follow one, you leave mildnature.online and arrive on a site we do not operate. Star Stable Online and the affiliate network that operates the link may set cookies or use similar technology on their own domains, typically to record which site referred you. Those are their cookies on their domains, governed by their own notices, and we neither control nor see them. If that matters to you, their cookie and privacy notices are the documents to read.
Blocking or clearing cookies generally
Every current browser lets you see which sites have stored cookies, delete them, and block new ones, usually under a settings section named for privacy, security or site data. Browsers also offer a private or incognito window, which discards site data when the window closes. Because this site stores nothing, these controls change nothing about how it behaves — but they are worth knowing for the rest of the web, and your browser's own help pages describe the version you are using.
If this ever changes
If Freedom line s.r.o. ever introduces a cookie or a storage technology on this site, this page will be rewritten to describe exactly what it is and what it does, with a new effective date, and a working consent mechanism will be in place before the first cookie is set. We will not quietly add one and update the wording afterwards.
